Liberty is quickly becoming a larger and larger city. As the road work on 291 finishes up, many new buildings and restaurants are beginning to sprout up. A restaurant that some faculty and students have got their eye on is Cheddars.
“Cheddars is kind of like a more up scale Applebee’s, but it’s not too fancy. You can wear whatever you’d like,” sophomore Sierra Duncan said.
The new Cheddars is located in The Village at Shoal Creek, off of 152 highway. For those who have never heard of it, Cheddars is a casual cafe serving everything from steak and chicken to seafood and salads. However, the item on their menu that they are the most famous for is their odd combination of chicken and waffles.
“Cheddars really knows how to make your taste buds come to life and realize greatness with their chicken and waffles,” junior Jackson Jones said. Cheddars received the number one spot in the Nation’s Restaurant News Consumer Picks in 2013. The Liberty Cheddars plans to have its grand opening at the end of this month.
