When people think of tennis they probably think of a bunch of old men in fancy white uniforms. The Liberty North Women’s Tennis is definitely not the stereotypical depiction of tennis. Recently the varsity girls had the opportunity to play in Springfield, Missouri.

“We listened to lots of throwback music and ate yummy snack on the drive down,” Senior, Holly Hawkins said.

Away tournaments are new to Liberty North starting last year.

“My favorite thing about the tournament is getting to bond with my team” Freshman, Blair Garrison, said.

The girls are all close and love spending time with each other. From starting as, a freshman to being a senior this year, Addie Brown describes her senior role

“It’s changed my perspective because I have to be more of a leader this year and I feel like the mom of the team times 10”

The tennis team wins and losses together and is more than just a team.

“I would describe this team as a family,” Senior Paige Garrison, said.
