Fortunate Fridays (11/4/22)
Happy Fortunate Friday everyone! In Eagle’s View, we are always so fortunate to the people who read our newspapers, support our work and our studies, and of course, we are so fortunate for our staff! For the rest of the year, we will be spotlighting many of our North Staff for everything they’ve done for us. Today, we have Mr. Jairus Tapp, a new ELA teacher! We are so fortunate for you Mr. Tapp!
About Your Family:
JT: Well, I’m married, it’s been almost 20 years, and we have four children together, Grayson Hayden Sawyer, and Emery. My wife’s also a teacher except for another school district.
What are your favorite hobbies?
JT: I read mainly, I mainly just read. It’s my hobby.
What are your favorite sports?
JT: No, no sports for me anymore, I’m a baseball guy so I like the Royals besides the fact that they stink, I like the Chiefs.
Where are you from?
JT: I’m from around here, I’m a ‘Tonka grad so Northland, been in Kansas City MO my whole life.
What brought you to North?
JT: My kids are here I’ve always wanted to teach where my children are at, I feel like I am part of this community so I should teach in this community.
Who are you fortunate for?
JT: I’m fortunate for my family, so I’ve got a really wonderful family, and my wife is amazing.
What is your favorite part of your job?
JT: My favorite part is the kids I teach.
