Finding Your Soulesmate Part 2
Last night The Bachelor was an episode filled with laughter and lots of tears. Jimmy Kimmel took on the role of the host like Chris Harrison usually does, and made the dates for the women. All of the women thought these dates were going to be super extravagant, but little did they know, they would not turn out the way expected.
The first one on one was given to Kaitlyn, and Jimmy Kimmel got to play the third wheel on the date. Jimmy had set up the date so that Kaitlyn and Chris would go to Costco, and get groceries for a dinner they would be cooking Kimmel. The date proceeded into the evening and I think Kaitlyn handled Jimmy’s awkwardness quite well. Kaitlyn is a jokester herself, so she made the night extremely entertaining bouncing off Kimmel’s comedy. I thought the date went rather smoothly, showing that Chris and Kaitlyn have some serious chemistry.
The group date again was my favorite part of the week because the women had to do some farming chores. The girls had to shuck corn, shovel manure, milk a goat and drink it, and wrestle a pig. I was thinking to myself, “these poor girls do not have a clue what they are going to have to do when they marry Chris.” Watching the women drink goat milk was making me want to up-chuck, and especially Kelsey’s constant gagging noises from chugging down the salty warm milk. After all the hoopla, Carly won the game, but unfortunately she did not receive the rose. Chris had kissed her and just about every other girl on the date except for Becca. Becca, one of my very favorites, received the rose because she told Chris how she wanted to mean something when they kissed. I think that is wise and I believe that is the reason he gave her the rose. I find it super refreshing when women do not have to put their tongue down some man’s throat to get their attention. Becca has made me develop a new respect for her, and the boundaries she has set.
The next one on one was given to Whitney. The date was originally going to be wine tasting, but Whitney had a spontaneous outburst, and told Chris that they should go crash the wedding near them. The nerves were building up inside of me as the two actually crashed a wedding reception. Chris was the one to mess things up when he started talking to relatives of the bride and groom, almost blowing their cover. Whitney saved the day with her charm and creativity. I could not believe they both pulled it off. The night ended with Whitney receiving the rose, and of course, a big smooch from Chris. Not gonna lie, Chris’s starting to get on my nerves with his constant need to show affection to every single girl there. Although, I was glad he kissed Whitney because she seems genuine. That voice of hers is annoying, though!
Jimmy Kimmel changed the end game making the usual cock-tail party into a pool party. Let’s just say things got awkward and sad fast when Juelia brought up the suicide of her husband. I felt terrible for her, but I do not think Chris was ready to handle that kind of news that early on. As Chris proceeded to kiss all the girls, Jade was getting annoyed that her relationship with him was not there yet. Jade then took a tour with Chris into his house having a steamy make-out session on the bed. I was utterly disturbed waiting for the awkwardness to settle down. The Bachelor’s awkwardness never ceases so after Jade’s one on one, Jillian was out in Chris’s hot tub and they had a long conversation, until Ashley I., Makenzie, and Megan interrupted for the second time to have time with Chris. Jillian did not budge though. Jillian would not leave the three alone with Chris, leaving Ashley I. distraught. It was definitely not a fun thing to watch Jillian be so cruel, but it makes good tv. Later on Chris finds Ashley I., and she explained her thoughts on Jillian’s behavior. It took awhile to understand what Ashley was trying to say with her hysterical crying and laughter. This show makes women seem so pathetic, but half the time it is so true. I will be one of many to tell you that girls are straight-up looney toons when it comes to emotions. Ashley I. is one of those exact girls!
The rose ceremony went rather smoothly for me as my favorites were still there by the end of the night. Ashley I. had a very intense night as she was hoping to be called earlier, but was called very last. Finally, the night ended with Trina, Tracy, and Amber going home without a rose. The episode ended in a rather successful night, getting rid of the random girls that have just been sticking around. I like to called them “the floaters of the house”. They all float their way through each episode, not making any efforts with Chris, until he finally drops them like hot tamales. Stay tuned till next week’s episode of The Bachelor!
