Spring break is right around the corner and is definitely a much needed vacation before finals roll around and the end of the year whirlwind starts up full swing. Whether you are going out of town or staying in Liberty for break, there are many fun things to do. Here are some ideas on how to have a blast during spring break 2k14!
1. Stay Cool!
Time to break out the water balloons and water guns and challenge your friends to a water fight! This is a great way to enjoy the weather and stay cool before the pools open.
2. De-Stress!
Use this week long vacation to unwind from the hectic schedule of spring sports and last minute tests and deadlines. Go to a nail salon or check out a local spa and pamper yourself.
3. Hold a Yard Sale!
Go through closets and rooms in your house and find things you would be willing to get rid of. A yard sale with friends is a wonderful way to earn some quick cash and have fun at the same time.
4. Volunteer!
Since you have some time off, check out local opportunities for volunteering. Whether it is Habitat for Humanity or serving meals in a soup kitchen, there is nothing better than the feeling of helping someone less fortunate than you are.
5. Road Trip!
Grab a few of your best friends and a car with good gas mileage and take off for a couple of days. Spring break is a great time to get out of town and forget about the troubles and stresses of daily life. You don’t even have to go to Florida to have some out of town fun. Drive up to Smithville or Lake of the Ozarks and enjoy the perks of lake living.
6. Pack a Picnic!
Take a basket full of your favorite foods, a blanket to lay on, and a group of friends or your BF/GF and go on out to Stocksdale park. This is super relaxing and not very expensive. Bring some frisbees and a soccer ball and just have some laid back fun.
7. Water Park Fun!
If you are really craving some pool time, Kansas City has some pretty awesome indoor water parks. Great Wolf Lodge and Coco Keys both offer hotel accommodations so you can make a weekend of it, or just go for the day.
