There are a variety of school clubs hosted by many different students. The newest club founded just this year is the Asian Culture Association.
“I founded the club. I am Asian and I thought it would be fun to bring a lot of Asians together in school,” senior Dominic Hidayat said.
The ACA (Asian Culture Association) is a very welcoming and laid-back club. The club is more of a place to hang out and socialize.
“So we host game nights, and we do a lot of fun activities. Snacks, movies, stuff like that. We just kinda celebrate Asian Culture,” Hidayat said.
Of course, getting a club to run smoothly does require a bit of effort.
“I’m the Vice President, so I do most of the kahoots, setting up the Movies, and sometimes the polls. I also manage the club discord,” Hidayat said.
Joining a club can be very beneficial. You can get involved with members who enjoy the same activities as you do.
“I think clubs are a great way to meet new people who share those same interests. It’s easier to make friends when you talk in a club and easier to socialize with others,” Hidayat said.
