In response to the catastrophic tornado that destroyed Joplin,Missouri last May,Liberty and Liberty North students are teaming up to help the seniors of JoplinHigh School have a memorable senior Prom.
Students are encouraged to bring in any clean, ready-to-wear Prom attire dresses, jewelry, shoes, and nice boys’/mens’ clothes and shoes. Financial contributions would also be greatly appreciated.
“The purpose of this project is to assist the Joplin community in creating a wonderful and totally free Prom for the students of Joplin High School, so they can get the Prom experience without the financial hassles,” Jennifer Higgins said.
Briday Ware at Liberty High School and Jennifer Higgins at Liberty North are spreading the word about the project, in hopes of receiving many donations.
“Any little contribution will be greatly appreciated. Any money or donations not used this year will be placed in the fund for future Joplin students, all of it going to Joplin High School,” Higgins said.
Bring your donations to Jennifer Higgins in room 803 by February 29 to show your support of Joplin High School students.
