As Liberty North is already half way through it’s second year, new traditions begin to form. At Liberty High School, it is a tradition that only seniors will have a yard sign exemplifying their accomplishments, Liberty North has decided to create their own tradition. There are no restrictions on yard signs, anyone may purchase one to display in their yard, and the idea is quickly taking root.
Doug and Kim Chatman, parents of junior Anna Carter, have taken it upon themselves to help influence the tradition; they have created an Eagle yard sign factory out of their own home. Doug is an incredibly artistic man, and has created a hobby out of personalizing and customizing each and every Eagle that he makes, any sport, activity, anything. Doug can personalize any Eagle. It all began after they made an Eagle for their son, and when his friends began expressing interest, they decided that they might as well start an Eagle factory. They began creating templates and a “base” model, and once people give Doug the details on how they want to personalize their Eagle, he puts on the finishing touches. The price of the base model is $45 and with personalization the price can vary a little bit.
“The Eagle’s that they make are really cool, they have an awesome look and it’s nice that they can personalize your eagle to match you so well.” Senior Jessica Jewell said. Jewell was one of the first customers and had her Eagle display her soccer abilities as well as her involvement in student council and National Honor Society.
As of now the Eagle factory is open for business and eagerly awaiting new customers. For more information contact the Eagles View newspaper staff.
