Hawaiian Bros is a restaurant franchise that serves island-inspired plate lunches with plenty of sides and salads. They were founded five years ago by brothers Cameron and Tyler McNie.
They had both run their family’s Hawaiian grill for 15 years when they decided to establish their Hawaiian restaurant. They opened their first location in Belton, MO.
Ever since the first location in Belton, MO, they have expanded rapidly all across the US. People from all over the US have gotten the chance to experience Hawaiian Bros. “Well the thing about them is you can tell they’re home cooked, it’s not like a fast food place, but it doesn’t taste like one. It feels more like home-cooked,” freshman Zaden Aguilar said.
Hawaiian Bros has since made Hundreds of millions in revenue. Last year, they made a total of $100 million! This is up from $55 million in 2021, and $20 million in 2020.
The food they serve is what you would expect from a Hawaiian restaurant. They mainly serve plate lunches alongside a couple of sides and salads. They also have DOLE SOFT SERVE®, a tropical soft serve from the islands. “Deliciousness, it’s good food,” Aguilar said.
Hawaiian Bros has maintained its reputation through its speedy service and its rewards program, seeing customers return to the restaurant an average of 19.5 times a year.
Hawaiian Bros started as a little Mom and Pops grill and has since expanded to one of the largest Hawaiian grill chains in the US. “I would give it 9.5 stars out of 10,” Aquilar said.
