Over Flow Coffee House, with locations in both Liberty and Gladstone, has been catching the attention of many in the area. They are open Monday through Saturday at various times and are known for good food, drinks, books, community involvement, and much more.
“I would definitely recommend Over Flow to others. Not only is their coffee good, but it’s a great space to work, study, or just meet with friends. They have a great space to enjoy each other’s company,” junior Alyssa Flener said.
The signature menu items include various coffees and teas, along with crepes such as the Nutella Banana, Strawberries and Cream, Lemon Blueberry, Spinach-Bacon-Swiss, and Bacon-Egg-Cheese crepes. Many have fallen in love with these and can be seen having them often.
“I’ve been to Over Flow a lot, so I’ve tried lots from them. A few of my favorite drinks are the blueberry matcha smoothie and iced oat milk lattes, and I always love their scones,” Flener said.
Another thing that Over Flow is known for is their books for non-profit. As they welcome customers in to purchase a book with a donation of their choice, they focus the profits made from these sales towards a variety of local and global causes. They even work to highlight a new cause each month in which they donate the proceeds.
“Over Flow’s atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. Specifically, I love the bookshelves and prayer board that they have in the back,” Flener said.
Community involvement can be seen being prioritized within the business. Over Flow partners with many ministries, both global and community-based, in an attempt to drive them forward and showcase their impacts. A few, of the many, that they have worked with include the Liberty Women’s Clinic, Global Orphan Project, Operation Breakthrough, KCMO Angels Foster Care Ministry, Operation Christmas Child, and more.
“The staff was super inviting and kind. They cultivate an environment that brings people back, and I love that they help others in the community as well. It makes me feel good about where my money is going, ” Flener said.
