World’s Smallest Hero
Hi, I’m Bryson Prindle. I’m a junior here at LNHS and this is Prindle’s Perspective. Here I will talk mainly about things going on with movies, games, and other stuff that I enjoy. You can expect a lot of talk over Fortnite updates, and new Fallout content (Most likely 76). As well as Marvel, DC, and Star Wars movies or tv series.
Back in 2015, we got introduced to a new character in the MCU. Later in 2018, he got another movie telling us where he was during Infinity War. If you haven’t figured it out yet I’m talking about everyone’s favorite size-altering hero: Scott Lang aka Ant-Man. February 17th marks the release of the third film Quatumania. So since there isn’t much else to report on I’m thinking we just talk about that.
So, our characters. Let’s start with the major ones. Obviously, it will star Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, but we will also be getting Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet van Dyne, Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, Kathryn Newton as our new grown-up Cassie Lang who will become either Stinger or Stature: She went as both in the comics. We will also see Jonathan Majors reprising his role as Kang The Conqueror, well kind of, you see in Loki he played a character called He Who Remains: A variant (alternate version of someone from the main timeline) of Kang. Our minor characters include Ant-Mans ex-con pals Michael Peña as Luis and David Dastmalchian as Kurt, as well as Randall Park as Jimmy Woo. We will also be seeing Corey Stoll giving M.O.D.O.K. his first-ever live-action appearance. Stoll also played Yellow Jacket in the first Ant-Man film.
So, what is Quantumania about? In the movie, Ant-Man, Wasp, Hank, Janet, and Cassie, go on a new adventure exploring the Quantum Realm that pushes their limits and pits them against Kang the Conqueror. Now, what does that even mean? Well based on the trailers, it seems that Cassie and Wasp will invent some device that acts as a deep space satellite but for the Quantum Realm. That device will end up transporting them to the Quantum Realm where they will make a deal with Kang, who will help them get out if they help him with his plan. However, Kang eventually ends up betraying the group and then we will get a big fight between him and Ant-Man. Kang probably won’t die in this movie because he’s needed for Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
So, I guess that’s the movie, take this entire story with a grain of salt since, as of writing this, the movie hasn’t come out yet. Now I’ve got to hope that Ant-Man doesn’t end up dying in this movie because he’s one of my favorite Marvel heroes, which is rumored to happen since, in the comics, Cassie only becomes a superhero after Kang kills Ant-Man. Wait, Cassie’s suiting up in a purple Ant-Man suit, just like in the comics… Uh-oh, this can’t be good. Well anyways, that’s the end of this story. Have fun and I’ll be here waiting for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, which I am super excited for!
