The “Inappropriate” Holiday

  Halloween could be considered the one time of year to become a whole new person, but for others, they use it as a time to show themselves off.

  This is the best time of year to wear as many or as few creative outfits you can make, but people seem to find it easier to make fun outfits with as few clothes as possible and it has become more of a trend the last few years. As it gets closer to the holiday, more people are trying to figure out what or who they want to dress as. Some people go for the simply bee costume whereas others put a spin on that simple costume to make it show off a bit more.

  “This kind of trend can definitely be a bit inappropriate at times, but it is completely up to how comfortable people are with themselves and around others to make their decision to wear short costumes that show off more skin, a final decision,” junior Emilie DeKleijn said.

  Wearing these kinds of have become a very controversial thing in the media and even in real life between parents and other adults saying that wearing something that shows so much skin is not appropriate, especially around children.

  “Personally, I think it depends on age and maturity. It can be a bit inappropriate to dress that way, especially in public, where kids are watching. It just is a bad influence for them. I can see why people think wearing something short and shows a bit of skin can be considered inappropriate because it is meant to be a kids holiday,” junior Cameron Lowery said.
