North takes pride in its different clubs and the diversity within those clubs. Tommy Monaco, a senior at North, is involved in many of them and is an exec for many of them.
“I am involved in thespian councils office for the thespians/LNHS produtions/musicals and plays, executive officer for kindness club, BBFP improv, STUCO, concert and choir chamber, speech and debate, fresh club, FCA, First Priority, and last but not least EIP. My top five out of those would have to be STUCO, speech and debate, thespians and productions, kindness klub, and choir. Those or not in order though,” Monaco said.
Some people may do clubs so they can say they were involved in something or to have it on their record but Tommy does them for many different reasons.
“I get to see so many different and unique personalities in people that are awesome and makes me so happy to see people getting out of their shells and making new friends. I also feel part of so many families here at North and I love it,” Monaco said.
Maybe it is about the people that bring you into the clubs or you meet them from it, but for Tommy his sister played a big role in that for him.
“At the being of my freshmen year when I saw all the different participation and new clubs that kept getting made it immediately intrigued me. My sister was a senior that year and she introduced me to a lot of clubs within her friends, grade, and school,” Monaco said.
Monaco is busy but knows how to balance school and clubs.
“Thankfully my schedule always has time for each of my activities, it does get a bit stressful at times but it is worth it to see all my hard work and effort that I put in pay off,” Monaco said.
