Junior Emma Haley is one of the competitors for the Missouri State art museum. She is passionate with her art pieces and her sport.
“One of my art pieces is going into a Missouri state online museum, my art piece was about my soccer games that I did over the summer and it’s about my picture that I took over practice and I wanted to paint it and it got accepted,” Haley said.
Before starting her art journey she was drawing and painting with her mom not knowing she was preparing for her future.
“I was always a painter when I was a kid for fun but getting into highschool I started enjoying it more and seeing art just made me enjoy it more,” Haley said.
In art there are many things that can be a struggle including the pressure the artist might put on themselves.
“What I find hard about art is trying to think of what your art piece is going to be about and starting to sketch and plan out what it’s going to be about and look like, something that is easy about art is finally having an outline getting into the process is a little easier at the end,” Haley said.
Something that Haley is proud of isn’t just her art or the pieces she does, it’s her progress that she’s made over all the years she’s been painting.
“My biggest accomplishment is probably seeing my work and progress throughout the years and all of the accomplishments that I made. I remember freshman year when I first started seeing my art become true art so one of my accomplishments is also going into competitions and winning some of them,” Haley said.
