At the beginning of this school year, we gained two new faces. One is the Safety and Security staff member Brodie Orth. Orth has done professional rugby for a big portion of his life.
“I played professionally and I played for the USA national team in 2016 and 2017. I was able to play in the Americas Rugby championship. I’ve played my whole life,” Orth said.
Orth has been to many places in the world and has even lived in a different country.
“I used to live in Wellington, New Zealand. I got to travel throughout Europe and South America. My favorite place was Manantay, Uruguay. It was my most favorite city,” Orth said.
Orth has worked in the school and law for a big portion of his life.
“I worked in law enforcement for 8 years. I played rugby and worked as a Special Ed Para at South Valley Middle School. I went to South Valley to work as a ParaProfessional. Over the summer I went back to work in Law enforcement and I had applied for this position. It was a great mix of both working in a school and working in law enforcement,” Orth said.
