On Tuesday, December 9, LNHS Choirs came together and performed their annual Christmas concert. The concert consisted of all 4 choirs. The first choir that performed was the LNHS Choral choir.

“LNHS Choral is all freshman girls, and we sang ‘This Little Babe’, ‘Love Came Down at Christmas’, and ‘Carol of the Bells’,” Freshman Emily Caywood said.

The next choir that went up was the Women’s choir.

“Women’s choir is women 10-12, and we performed ‘Alleluia rejoice’, ‘Deck the Halls’, and ‘Schlafe mein liebster’,” Sophomore Lexi Nardini

When asked what some of the girls like about women’s choir Nardini replied,

“What I like about women’s choir is the rehearsals, it’s fun to watch all the songs come together and to watch us improve.”

But why do the kids in choir love choir?

“Choir is the class I love going to every day because I love singing. It’s really fun when it comes to concert time because we to get to hear how much we’ve grown and improved throughout the course of a couple months. Hearing the ending result is always my favorite part,” Sophomore Rainen Ratto said.

Next was Chamber choir.

“Chamber choir is a choir both men and women have to audition for and we sang ‘Lu Le Lu La Lu Lay’ and ‘Gaudete’,” Senior Lauren Vanness said.

The last choir that went up was Concert choir.

“Concert choir is women and men, but women must audition. We sang ‘Cry Out’, ‘I hear the Stars’, ‘Cantate’, and Jingle Bells’,” Junior Romero Higareda said.

In the end Mr. Hartman, the director for all 4 choirs, combined all the choirs for the final song ‘Still, Still, Still’.
